I’m going to get a note about this…
Mia’s Kindergarten class has a stuffed bear that each child is allowed to take home once during the year. Each class gets to name the bear - when Amy brought it home, his name was Fuzzy, with Mia, it’s Joe Cool. Usually he comes home only overnight but because Mia’s turn came on a Friday, we got him the whole weekend. So I’ve had this really awful song from the 70’s stuck in my head for four days now… Joe Coooool that’s me, And on and on and on. Make it stop!! Besides keeping the bear overnight, the kids have to write a story about what Joe Cool did while he was at their house. It can be real or imagined but they have to make it interesting. With the other kids, Joe Cool has been to the zoo, or jumped on the trampoline, or he’s even been a pirate. Not Mia. When he came to our house, Joe Cool got checked for head lice.
c’mon girls, c’mon and see,
what you can haaaave eternally,
if you’re the lucky one.
Joe Coooool no suprise,
beats out all the other guys.
So show your colors and claim your prize,
if you’re the lucky one.
If I break your heart, from the very start,
don’t cry, don’t die, don’t meet your end,
till you fix me up with your best friend!
That’s going to be an interesting report to the class! I have no idea where this fascination came from. She watched an episode of Arthur a few weeks ago where they all get head lice and it’s been an obsession ever since. She’s not freaked out about it, just really, really interested.
