This is weird.
My brother is in town for the week and is staying with us. He’s asleep on the couch right now, as a matter of fact. “What’s so weird about that?” you ask. He’s my younger brother, eight years younger, and he’s here interviewing with a big airline to become one of their pilots. A pilot people! The next time you travel, my little brother could be flying your plane. I’ve flown with him and he’s a good pilot, but it’s still weird. I used to help him with his homework, make him mac and cheese for lunch, and wake him up to go potty so he wouldn’t wet the bed. (He’ll kill me for posting that.) I forced him to be Ken when we played Barbies and once tricked him into eating a raw egg. (Don’t worry, he got me back.) How can he be old enough to fly any airplane, let alone a great big one? It’s a little tough to wrap my mind around.

My brother in law flew for Comair. Recently, when flying home from Charlotte, I took a Comair flight on the very type of plane that my brother in law used to fly. Chances are, he actually flew that plane at one time or another.
But I can relate. I can’t picture him flying at all. Who knows… maybe seeing him in his uniform might change my mind about things. Then again, it might change my mind about all of the other commercial pilots in the world instead!

Edit - I found out after returning home that this brother in law was hired on by SkyWest out of Salt Lake. He was probably fighting for one of the same jobs your brother was applying for. Funny, that!
