This and that
Oh sure, I’m gone for weeks and then pop in to write something boring. It’s summer vacation, we should be traveling! I should be writing about throwing the kids and the dog in the minivan and roadtripping our way from state to state! Woot! Sadly, no. There are kids of course, but no dog and no minivan, and no roadtrips. Instead we’ve spent our summer working, watering the neighbor’s lawn while they are roadtripping, dragging ourselves to endless doctor appointments, and dealing with a couple of truly heinous financial issues that have been scary. So far this hasn’t been my favorite summer. But it’s okay. I am self-medicating with lots of chocolate and episodes of So You Think You Can Dance. Tivoing is really the way to go though because I hate sitting through all the filler they throw in to drag out twenty minutes of dancing into two hours. Incidentally, I directed one of the contestants in a show a few years ago. He’s already been voted off, which doesn’t really surprise me. He has TONS of natural talent, but he’s also kind of a doofus. I didn’t expect him to last long. (Sorry about the weird spacing. My HTML editor doesn’t work and I’m still trying to figure it out.)
