A day in pictures
I tried to keep a photo log of Saturday’s events to show you what a great and interesting life I lead. If only. Most of the day consisted of this: We also got the color on the kitchen walls, finally replacing the putrid blue color left by the previous owners. What a difference! The kitchen looks so much better and much more sophisticated. We still have one bathroom to paint and then we’re done. This has been a long, long process and one I’m not anxious to repeat any time soon. If we do end up moving, hopefully the new house won’t need to be completely repainted first. At this point, I’d probably opt to live with it for a while, no matter how hideous the color. More photos of the day… A jumble of wires and a disgusting, dirty floor when we moved the computer desk to paint the wall behind it. Blech! My sister’s leftover birthday cake - sugar rush when we started to drag. Poor hubby’s tired, dirty hands. And he’s still not done! It’s a good thing it rained all day or we would have had yard work too. My honeysuckle has greened up nicely in the past two weeks, we’re hoping it will reach the top of the arbor this year. I wasn’t shut up inside quite all day. I did manage to get to the fabric store and pick out fabric for the baby quilt I’m making for my sister-in-law. Yay! A project! I’ve never quilted before, this should be interesting. And finally, clean girls with clean (but blurry) feet. Fresh from the shower and waiting for me to come read stories before they go to bed. In all, a good day. On Sunday I spent about three hours transferring pictures from the hard drive to disks in order to free up space. It’s amazing how much faster the computer is running, I should have thought of this months ago.
But we’re close! We started around 8:00 a.m. and finished painting the last of the big walls by 10:00 that night.

I like that quilt fabric! And looks like the kitchen should turn out as nice as the bedroom!

Fourteen hours of painting? Ugh… Glad it’s not me!

Well, not 14 hours non-stop, but it does add up quickly. I’m glad it’s not me either - anymore.
Thanks, Jac! I like the fabric too, very girly. Hopefully I don’t mess it up too badly.
