It’s tomorrow. I’m happier.
My neck feels better and I got a new blowdryer. Everything else still sucks but I’m done whining (for now). So, how about a story in pictures? Here’s Adam with one of his favorite amusements. And Western Family isn’t doing too badly with the product placement either. Gerbils! And more importantly, gerbil food! (And mom turned the flash on.) You knew this was coming, didn’t you? Seeds! Must play. Oops - busted! Don’t worry, he doesn’t eat them. He’s not coordinated enough yet to get something so small to his mouth and even if he were, he’s not really a mouther. When handed something new, the first thing he’ll do is bang it to see if it will make noise. If it does, he’s happy and the exploration goes no further. If not, he’ll turn it over and over and study it for a while and more often than not, he loses interest before he thinks of trying to eat it. He must like the way the gerbil food feels because he won’t play like this in anything else, not beans, not cereal, not coins, not dirt. But he gets so excited if I let him have the gerbil food. And of course I’m right there the whole time to deal with any unauthorized tasting. (Now I just sound like I’m justifying.) You can’t see it, but the gerbils were giving him dirty looks the whole time.
