Frosting. Lots and lots of frosting.

As you may recall, two of my kids have birthdays within one day of each other. Well, NOW they do since Adam decided to be born three weeks early last year and steal big sister’s thunder (almost). So Mia’s birthday is on May 17 and Adam’s is May 18. Lots of parties, lots of presents, and lots of cake. My thighs may never forgive me.

Another year gone! I can’t wrap my mind around it, especially the idea that Adam is one already. One! I feel like he should be about 7 or 8 months old, I would be prepared to accept that. But One? No way.

They’re awesome kids. Smart, curious, funny, sometimes goofy, and always loveable. I thank the Lord every day that I was blessed with these three awesome little people to sneak all the gum out of my purse, steal my covers, spill milk on my clean floors, overwhelm me with laundry, and make up for all of it with a note left under my pillow or a flurry of soft, wet kisses.

Happy birthday, guys! Thanks for being my kids.

(Amy’s big month coming next.)
